When Alex reached out about a brand shoot, I was so excited! We met for the first-time last year after getting connected through Honeybook. Alex has such a kindhearted spirit and I’ve loved getting to know her and see her business grow over the past year.
Alex is a wedding photographer, so we wanted to create a consistent set of images that would speak to her ideal brides and showcase her personality. Alex’s photography can be described as classic, refined, and elegant. Similarly, her brand has a very elegant and natural presence, so it was important for us to bring that to life in her images. You’ll notice that teal, green, and cream are weaved throughout her session using both her outfits and our locations. I love how well these tones worked together since they’re such a vital part of her brand.
We split our time between a park and a quaint coffee shop in Richmond, Virginia. We started the morning at Libby Hill Park to capture some images of Alex in a simple, natural setting. I love that Alex brought her bike for this part of the shoot; it was a fun, unique prop. We spent the second half of the shoot at Ironclad Coffee Roasters where we focused on the lifestyle elements of her shoot.
If I’m being honest, my favorite part of Alex’s session was actually after we finished shooting and sat in Ironclad catching up over some very delicious iced vanilla lattes. I love getting to know my branding clients and hearing all about the things they’re dreaming up for their business. I can’t wait to see how Alex chooses to use her images for her business!

She was so easy and calming to work with, as it was my first branding session. She led me throughout the way and the images are perfect! “
"I am certain that because Jontell got to know me and my brand up front, it allowed her to capture exactly what I wanted.
