Today’s blog post is a throwback to summer weddings! Destiny & Gemal’s Richmond, Virginia wedding was the perfect start to my summer wedding season!

Destiny & Gemal’s chic Boathouse at Rockett’s Landing wedding was actually a celebration of one year being married. They officially got married before Gemal deployed in 2018; their wedding day was a chance for all their friends and family to celebrate alongside them. It rained for most of their wedding day and I’ll admit that as a photographer, rainy wedding days aren’t my favorite thing in the world. However, Destiny and Gemal truly made the best of the situation and both had joyful spirits throughout the entire day. It was such a joy to serve them knowing that their greatest priority was getting to profess their love to one another in the presence of the most important people in their lives.
