Morgan | Charlottesville, VA Portrait Session

As a full-time college student and business owner, it’s difficult to find time for creative projects. At the same time, it’s extremely important to take time away from the pressure of weddings (and school) to get back to the heart of my love for photography. My friend, Morgan, is the model in the shoot and we spent the afternoon exploring new locations around our area. This was truly a “let’s just go with the flow shoot” – we packed a ton of outfits and just drove until we found the perfect spots. We found a random field on the side of a highway outside of Charlottesville just as the sun was about to set. As a business owner, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the administrative side of things; I love that this shoot gave me a chance to be creative, build my skills, and just have fun. Also, who doesn’t love a good DIY peony flower crown?
