Hi - I’m so excited you’re here! I’m Jontell, a wedding & branding photographer based in Northern Virginia (but always excited to travel). I am a proud UVA alum, and when I’m not capturing memories you can often find me curled up with a good book and a chai latte, or sharing a bottle of Viognier with friends at one of Charlottesville’s many wineries.

My style and approach to photography can be described as bright, colorful & vibrant because I believe that’s how the very best moments deserve to be remembered. My clients love tradition, but aren’t afraid to break the mold a bit when it comes to shoot style and decor.

I have often been described as bubbly & passionate, both by my clients and my loved ones. Most days, you can find me exploring local small towns, saying yes to happy hour, trying a new recipe, or grabbing coffee with a friend. I truly believe that any time spent in great company is time well spent. Thanks again for stopping by. I can’t wait to meet you!

IT's NICE TO MEET YOU

Sweet treats are my love language. Cake, cookies, candy - you name it. I’ll never pass up the opportunity to try something new, but nothing will ever beat a good batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies!

SUGAR, DESSERTS, AND ALL THINGS SWEET

What goes better with sweets than more sweets? I'm currently on the hunt to find the PERFECT chai latte, so if you know a coffee shop that has a great one - slide into my DMs. When I'm in the mood for more of a caffeine kick, pass the caramel iced coffee with extra cream and sugar, please.

(AS IF ALL THE SWEETS WEREN’T ENOUGH)!

I love a good Netflix binge as much as the next person, but sometimes curling up with a good book is the perfect brain break. It probably doesn’t surprise you that I’m a sucker for a good love story, but I do switch it up every now and then with a business or mystery book!

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

Curling up with a good BOOK

I studied Media Studies at UVA and I've been a total media & communications nerd ever since. I love media related books and complex communication issues (yeah, it just sounds nerdy doesn't it?). The history and impact of media, in particular, has been something that has always fascinated me.

You’re not going to find me out hiking or camping on any given weekend, but I am a sunset chaser, through and through. There is something so serene about a country sunset. When I’m in the mood for mountain views, you can find me at King Family Vineyards with a glass of Crosé!

cherish the moment

You’ve probably heard the phrase “time is fleeting.” Time is one of the most valuable things in this world, and during moments of celebration and joy, the moments seem to come and go so quickly. In my work, I have the privilege of capturing these special, transient moments of time so that years from now, my clients will have these cherished memories to look back on.

the heart of it all

I believe that Jesus is the greatest example of genuine love and service. A big part of why I do what I do is to be able to reflect that genuine love in my own life. Through photography and my work, I am able to love and serve people during some of the most exciting times in their lives and recognize that each moment we have is meant to be treasured.
