I’ve had the chance to photograph a few intimate wedding ceremonies this year and they’re easily becoming one of my favorite events to photograph. There’s something special about having your closest family surrounding you for such a special moment.

Maritza and Ruben said their vows in the beautiful gardens of Carlyle House in Old Town Alexandria. Although, the streets outside of Carlyle House were incredibly busy from a local event that was happening, the gardens provided the perfect peaceful escape in the midst of the craziness. To make the day even better, we got gorgeous wedding day weather after a super rainy week in Virginia. Can we just take a second to talk about how stylish these two look? Their attire paired together so well and Maritza’s bouquet was the perfect understated accent to complete their wedding day look. I had so much fun spending my Saturday morning exploring a little bit of Old Town Alexandria with these two.
