I’m excited to share today’s post because it’s a little different than my usual branding sessions. Gohar and I connected during a styled shoot a few years ago; she’s a brilliant makeup artist and fashion designer. She has such a kind spirit and she’s one of the most talented yet humble creatives I’ve ever met.
What I love about branding sessions is that they can look different for everyone. For this shoot, since Gohar needed images for her website, we focused on creating a collection that would give her a variety of portfolio images to showcase her makeup looks. The best way to do this was with editorial images that spoke directly to her target audience and ideal client.
I was so excited when Gohar asked about creating a more editorial look for her images. Editorial work is how I first fell in love with photography, but I haven’t really explored much of that since I niched into weddings and branding. Gohar’s trust in me to execute this shoot for her meant the world and I’m really happy with how they all turned out. Although our focus of the shoot was each model’s makeup look, we still got to feature some of Gohar’s beautiful dress designs on the models as well!

She was so easy and calming to work with, as it was my first branding session. She led me throughout the way and the images are perfect! “
"I am certain that because Jontell got to know me and my brand up front, it allowed her to capture exactly what I wanted.
