Over the next few weeks, I want to share some wedding inspiration on the blog. I’m lucky to have such stylish couples and I hope that their weddings can help inspire other couples who are currently planning the wedding of their dreams. Today’s wedding inspiration: Chris and Amy’s Old Metropolitan Hall Wedding in Charlottesville, Virginia!
Old Met Hall is one of my favorite venues in Charlottesville. Cville is known for its vineyard weddings, but Old Metropolitan Hall is the perfect modern, urban venue. Although I was excited for a winter wedding, mother nature had a different plan. Chris and Amy’s wedding day had perfect 70-degree weather and trust me, none of us were complaining.
Amy and Chris met at UVA (we all know I love a good UVA love story!). Their love story has taken them from Charlottesville to Houston, but they chose to have their wedding celebration here in VA. Since Amy and Chris decided to share a first look, we had a solid hour for portraits before the ceremony. This gave us time to explore the Downtown Mall and even make a stop at their first Cville apartment for some quick pictures!
A few things I loved about this wedding day: Amy’s stunning gown from Urban Set Bride; it had a gorgeous train and beautiful floral detailing. She looked STUNNING! Also, with a December 28th wedding date, Amy and Chris (and they’re amazing planner, Bryce) did a perfect job of pulling both seasonal inspiration and New Year’s Eve inspo into their wedding. You’ll see the fun metallic colors from the bridesmaids’ dresses and reception decor balance beautifully with the deep reds and plums from the florals.
I just loved everything about this day and this sweet couple! Amy & Chris, thank you so much for the honor of capturing your wedding day, and I hope you cherish these photos for years to come!

She was so easy and calming to work with, as it was my first branding session. She led me throughout the way and the images are perfect! “
"I am certain that because Jontell got to know me and my brand up front, it allowed her to capture exactly what I wanted.
