Hey friends! July has been quite the month! On top of getting to spend some time second shooting, I took a trip to Disney, and turned 22 (*cue Taylor Swift*)! My family took a trip to Disney at the beginning of the month and it was…MAGICAL! I was a lot younger during our last trip, but being 22 at Disney isn’t much different than when you’re 12 except for the fact that you can try all of the delicious cocktails (has anyone else tried the avocado margaritas at La Cava del Tequila?). I’m thankful for the time I got to spend with family and for a week to relax after all of the post graduation craziness. July left me with some free time to explore new books and podcasts, some of my top picks are below!

Favorite July Read:

Y’all, Hannah Brencher has a way with words. I had planned for this to be a quick read by the pool, but ended up taking a while to really soak it all in. Hannah talks about showing up for the life God has for you – being where your feet are and not running away when things get tough. As a recent grad, this book spoke directly to my heart. I highly recommend it to any and everyone!

Favorite seasonal cocktail:

If you follow me on Instagram, you’re probably fully aware that National Tequila Day was a few weeks ago. Who doesn’t love cheesy “national” holidays?! One of my favorite summer drinks is the classic Paloma. I’ve found that most people either love them or hate them, but you should definitely give one a try!

Recipe (makes a single drink):

  • 2 oz. tequila (give or take)
  • 3 oz. citrus sparkling water (I used LaCroix)
  • 3 oz. fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 1.5 Tbsp. simple syrup
  • juice of 1/2 lime

Business favorites:

July brought along another Amazon Prime Day and while I thankfully used a lot of self control, I did snag this LaCie hard drive. So far, I’m loving it’s durable design since my hard drives are always getting thrown in and out of my camera bag. Also, I recently purchased some new Spektrum glasses and they’re getting me through the long days behind my laptop screen.
