Happy Spring! I promised to get some of my new spring content on the blog for you all to see, and this session is the first of many fun things that I can’t wait to share with you all.
Senior portraits are lifelong keepsakes, and it’s important that you make them your own. I encourage my seniors to look at outfits or senior shoot inspiration on Pinterest, but on the day of the session, it’s about THEM. It’s about who they are right now and what their plans are for your their future. If you’re a 2016 or 2017 senior, I encourage you to create images that speak to who you are right now because life truly changes after you walk across that stage and begin a new chapter in your life. Take photos with your mom, your best friends, or your boyfriend. Wear your field hockey uniform or your favorite dress and high heel. Bring props and point out locations that you really love. Make sure your personality shows in your senior photos, so you can look back and remember this major milestone in the best way possible.
Nabeela is one of my 2016 seniors, and she definitely brought her personality into her photos. From the outfits she chose to some of our more fun “show me your favorite pose” shots, I got to capture the real her. In the end, that’s more important than any pose or editing style. I loved exploring some new locations downtown and hearing all about her plans for college. She plans to become a teacher and I just know that she’s going to be the “cool” teacher that students always love.
Enjoy some of my favorites from her lovely downtown Fredericksburg senior session!
